Requirements for Membership Consideration
- Have a genuine interest in the goals and purpose of the 100 Black Men of Greater Kansas City
- Be at least 21 years of age
- Be of good moral character
- Have a demonstrated commitment to excellence in his profession and service to the community
- Attend member interest meeting
- Submission of application with a non-refundable application fee of $50
- Applicant must be recommended/sponsored by a member in “good standing”
Approval Process
- Personal interview with Membership Committee
- Successfully complete background check (limited to criminal history and sex related offenses)
- Committee recommendation
- Board approval and notification to prospective member
- Payment of balance of annual dues
Member Requirements
- Pay annual membership dues of $300 (includes application fee)
- Continually serve on at least one committee
- Attend at least 50% of monthly membership meetings
- Reasonable level of participation in community service activities and events sponsored by the organization
